According to Brian Gonyea who researches the MM's, he says that there were only 9 bubble nose 1865's built and then 48 flat nose models built for a total of 57. They were built from 1971 till june of 1972. I own one of the 9 bubble nose tractors. From what Brian told me there were no LP 1865's according to his research but that does not make it impossible. I'm sure he would be very interested to know the info about there being 61 1865 lp's.
If you read what was at the bottom of the ebay listing it clearly states that only 9 of the 1865's built have been accounted for by serial number. It said nothing about only 9 being made.
Here it is from the listing:

I recieve so many emails on the 1865 i haven't been able to answer them all, but I thought this one was very interesting. This is when I posted the serial number " I have a friend who documents and researches MM tractor production and he would love to know what your serial number is to verify its existence. With these tractors being so low production he has only been able to account for about 9 of them. Thanks"
Here is a pic of mine. It is the 7th built. If you search 1865 in the MM forum I have a couple posts of my tearing into it. This post was edited by agcodick at 17:20:58 12/04/12 2 times.
