Oliver 550 Diesel Fluids and Capacities

I recently acquired a 550 diesel that will be used as an around-the-house utility tractor.

I would like to drain all the fluids and replace with new. What fluids do you all recommend using (crank case, hydraulic, coolant, etc)?

I have the manual with recommended fluids, but these are fluids that were recommended over 40 years ago. I am sure there is better stuff out there now for it. Thanks!

I'm no expert, but lacking any other answers, I'll put my 2 bits worth in.

Engine- any diesel spec multi-vis, probably 10W-30 or 40.

Transmission/ rear end (its separate from the hydraulics- fill at the front of tran case)- 90 weight.

Coolant- Prestone and water.

Power Steering- Deltron ATF.

Hydraulics- Manual calls for 30 wt. with Oliver additive, which of course is no longer available. It has been discussed on here before, and IIRC the consensus was either universal fluid or 30 wt. oil. Fill at the right rear, under the seat- there's a little dipstick under the breather.

I have a 1963 550 gas.

For your tractor I would recommend:

engine - 15w40, not sure on capacity
trans/rear end - 80w90, mine is about 5 gallons
hydraulics - univeral hydraulic oil
