1755 value?

looking at a 1755, that has an older resto on it, was repainted, over hauled, matching tires, wide front, runs like a top! Tried loading a pic with no success

If that thing runs as good as it looks, and
PTO/steering/hydraulics/trans work as they should, I"d say it is
worth $8-10K. If you get it for less than $7K, you are stealing it!
 
I bought one recently that had some engine/transmission and over under work done. I was amazed how well it started cold, and how tight, quiet, and smooth it ran in the field and on the road. That one looks really nice, but before I bought it, I think I'd make sure it runs as good as it looks. A good 4020 will bring 10k or more, and I like Oliver better. If that tractor starts and runs as good as it looks I don't think 8k or a bit more would be out of line. If its had work done, the bill was probably more than that.

You'd be doing fine if you got it somewhere in the 8's. It would have to come with oodles of receipts and paperwork showing the work done to the engine and o/u to be worth $10k. And even then, for me, it would have to have a good set of radials to be worth that.
 
Is a tricycle front hard to find for a 17,18,19 55 series? Are they the same or interchangeable?
 
Do you have receipts and records to back up the overhaul? The only thing worse than a 310 that needs overhauled is a 310 that was overhauled improperly without all of the updates. If you are going to work the tractor hard I suppose the fender tanks are an advantage. Myself I never liked the way they looked so to me they add nothing to the value although many will feel differently. It is a really nice looking tractor. If you can verify the quality of the overhaul I would think you would be okay at $7000 or maybe $8000 max. I saw a really sharp 1855 with a Cummins conversion sell for $10,000 not long ago and would much rather have that. Good luck. I hope you get it!
