1650 -2-speed

i just got this 1650 oliver gas it has a pull out for the 2 speed .i have had a lot of olivers
but never like this ,
can some one tell me somthings about this
how it works ang advantage to have it , the other olivers i have are deasels
like1650, 550.here is a pics. of my 550
tell me what youy think.
if i sell it what is it worth? could i get $7.000
for it? never find a better one.
i am 76 so soon must go.

The picture didn't work. $7000 for a 550? I'll just say maybe. A dealer had one advertised a few years ago for $7500. One of the last ones made,extremely low hours.

The 2 speed hydrapower,when you pull the rod out it goes in to underdrive. Reduces speed by 20 percent,increases pulling power by 30 some odd percent. The one caution with it,it goes in to free wheeling in underdrive. In other words,the engine won't hold it back from rolling,so don't pull it out while going down hill.
