Funny idea - Oliver 990 PTO

Were the PTO housings the same from the 990 to any other tractors? Like the 880 or 88? I want to put a PTO on my 990, but shipping an actual 990 PTO setup up here would kill my pocketbook. There's lots of 880's, 88's, 1800's, etc, up here, so I was wondering if the other housings would bolt up correctly. A shaft is no problem, I can have one machined pretty easily. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Lyndon

No. They are way different. I have a parts breakdown that was included in the how to install one on a tractor if you want part numbers. The 1800 is also not even close.

we ran into the same problem with our Super 99. the 99 is different to all the others. so in our case we decided to do a conversion. we made a shaft that fits the 99 and then weld it onto the clutch of a 88 PTO. we then would have to make a box that attachs to the frame and the PTO housing. for our situation it should work as long as we don't do a lot of work with the PTO.
