Oliver 77 water pump Pulley-again (With Pics)

I am having some serious problems finding a replacement for my water pump drive pulley for my 1950 77. I got one for free form Keith Smith (Thanks Keith!) but it isn't the right one. The large pulley has a 4 3/8" diameter pulley, and the dish is 3" ID. The one I got does not have a wide enough dish to fit the other smaller pulley inside of it. YT claims that their water pump pulley fits "all 77 rowcrops", and it has the identical drawing of the pulley to the one I ordered from A and I (which also didn't work). The tractor has been converted to 12 V with an alternator, which is run off the smaller back pulley. I also got a "ducel" generator with the tractor, which I assumed to be the original. So now my question. Is the front pulley original, or do I have a very well done modification? And where can I get a replacement, or am I looking at getting a new one machined?

The part number that you need for a pulley is K369. This part has been long discontinued by Agco, so your best source would be a used one. Your pulley set-up was used on all of the fleetline series until the Supers. I have noticed that a lot of the aftermarket sources don't list this correctly although A&I's web site does show this being used after S/N 6503, which is the start of the Supers. The pulley that they do list shouldn't even show up on a straight 77. You might want to try Maibach Tractor or O'Brien County Implement; they seem to have parts availablility for the older Olivers.

Possible source for the part your looking for: Wes Dorhout in Hospers Iowa, 51238. Phone number 712-324-2760

Years ago we converted a few Fleetline diesels that were winter chore tractors over to the Super style pulley set up so they could run an alternator. I am sure there are used cast crank pulleys around.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I have found a few people locally who may have one. the first time I posted a wanted ad no one responded, and the second time I got 2 in 3 hours. So now I've got the governor bumper spring coming from Korves and a pulley found locally, I should be good to go.
Thanks for the help identifying what I've got!

(quoted from post at 17:14:56 09/01/11) What is the governor bumper spring?
It is a spring that butts up against the governor forks to prevent the engine from surging. I messed mine up trying to stretch it to stop the engine from surging, as per my IT manual.
