Oliver 60 Cylinder Head Milling

Howdy, I am putting a new head gasket in my 60. Is it OK for me to have my head milled back to true/flat? I know it will bump the compression somewhat, but I just want to make sure there is nothing vital that would be ruined by having the head shaved.

Thanks
Chris

I had to have mine surfaced before I put it back together. They have a pretty large combustion chamber in the head along with pistons that don't come to the top of the sleeve. I'd have to look, but I'm pretty sure the compression ratio is about 5 to 1. Lots of room to raise the compression. If you happen to need any valves, I have some decent used that have been through the grinder.
