Oliver canopy on a White

Friend has a canopy off of a 1655 (his words) sitting in his hedgerow. He's a JD man and has offered it to me before when I had a 1650. I was wondering if this would fit on my 2-85? I thought I read somewhere on here that with the axle size of the bigger tractor that making these mounts fit is tough. Any thoughts?

I think that the overall size of the rollbar/canopy is the same for both tractors but the mounting pads are different between the larger & smaller tractors. Take a tape measure & measure it up, might take a little modification to make it work.

Or just go out & find you one for your white & I will come & pick that one up to put on my 1655....

Yes the 2-85 axels are thicker.

It would however fit a 2-70.

I've got one from a 2-85 on our 1855

Some had universal mounting plates that fit both sizes. The rest is all the same size.
