I am needing help with a restoration project. I have a 1800 A Diesel that I am trying to put back as close to original as posibble. The problem,I can not find a photo of how the guages, switches, starter buttons, ect. go into the dash. If anyone could possibly help I would appreciate it.

Bison: I see that is a Cockshutt tractor. What is the serial & spec number. Also the original 1800 A series dash did not have an ammeter or an oil pressure gauge.

For its worth, I had an 1800A Diesel Serial No. 124-397-844. The top dash holes left and right were both plugged. From left to right below dash was fuel shut-off, light switch, 2 fuse cartridges with black rubber glow plug switch between them, then the key switch on the right. The fuses were for hyda-lectric and lights I think. It,s been a while, I have a couple of pictures but I need help entering them. Hope this helps.

Well i guess it ain't stock no more then
.
This is on the identification plate under the dash.

Interesting that that serial number (124 397)was the first 1800 series B tractor made according to the listing on this site...also listed as such in Mr. C.H. Wendel's book titled 'Oliver Hart-Parr'.
Where is that tractor now???

Looking at the AGCO Partsbook online, the one-piece dash had five holes in it from the factory across the top. Three of them had plugs in them, the only gauges were fuel level and temperature on most tractors.
The dash was one piece until the first 1900B oliver at serial 124396, serial 124397 for the 1800B...

My 1800A Diesel was a Checkerboard, I always thought only Checkerboards were 1800A's. I maybe wrong on the serial no. as I also bought a 1800B gas and could be mixed up on the numbers.

Thanks for the help guys, This tractor was bought because I have a 5 year old that just loved the tractor, little did I know it was going to be so hard to find parts and get it put back in shape. Now I am down to finding a temp. guage, head, and front emblem for it. I am starting to think I might not find everything original and am sure I will have more in it than its worth, but at least I will have a five year old that loves it.

The center part of the dash (with the gauge holes) on your 124-397 should have been removeable. The 'A' series was all one piece, like in the photos from Dglasgow..
