Is it a 1250

I have a cockshutt tractor and cant tell whether it is a 1250 model or something else. It has a diesel 4cyl eng. 24 volt system, a 6 fwd gear 2 rvse tranny. The cowel tag on the sheet metal below the steering wheel says fiat 415 and engine 615. It cant be a 1450 cause it doesnt have the same gears as a 1450. It sure looks like a 1250 but I thought the 1250 only came with 411 r and 411rg. The colors are harvest gold and red chasis. the upper front grill is chrome and not painted. has a 2100rpm speed/tach gauge. I have pictures if I can figure how to post them. Where are the serial numbers located.

Well I can not get your picture to open. Next thing you know that Cockshutt also sold the Fiat 411. A friend of mine has a nice one. Interesting in that the serial number tag should be on the sheet metal below the steering wheel. A 1450 is a 7 speed so you are correct in that it is noat a 1450. The 1250 and probably the 411 models(don't remember on the 411) are 24 volt. How can I get a picture? I will need to look in my book to see what range the serial numbers cover.

Check this guys web site. He is the Fiat expert. http://www.importtractorparts.net/index.html

Just copy and paste the link in to your browser and hit enter http://s953.photobucket.com/albums/ae11/lorncy/cockshutt%201250/
and it will open on photobucket with all my tractor pictures. I just tried it. The tag below the steering wheel on the cowel says Fiat 415 then below a serial number I guess*707935* and below that it says engine 615.

My fatherinlaw (past away) bought it new in the 60's. it has 2000 easy hrs on it. Any damage was from a barn collapsing on it. I inherited it. It runs great other than needing TLC with some leaky injectors (new o-rings probably) and a little cleaning it will be fun to restore.

As I understand, White imported tractors from Fiat and basically painted them to matcxh cockshutt and oliver and resold them right. This looks just like the 1250 model cockshutt but has the Fiat tag. I am only concerned so I know the engine size for sure for buying parts. 1 thing I need for it is a new 5 way key switch. If there is any way of posting pictures on here, please tell me and thanks for the help.

I looked up the serial number of the first 1250 we sold. It has a 727 serial number. Now where are you located? Rick over at Rick's agriparts in Ohio also has Fiat parts. Good thing it is a diesel, nice little tractor. An Oliver (or Cockshutt) 1250 parts book will help. More questions? How can I e-mail you. J.

my email should be available on the forum but here it is [email protected] I live in Spanish Ontario Canada just on the North SHore of Lake Huron east of Sualt Ste Marie. I have 1250 operators manual, 1250 parts manual and service manual on cd rom. Everything in these books look like my tractor but the part numbers dont match. That cowel tag has me wondering if this was frankenstine tractor that was put together with whatever was available when white took over?
