I am looking at a tractor which I was told was a 1958 Oliver 1855. I do not think the 1855 was made in 1958 from what I can find. The tin work looks more like a 1650 but I am new to Olivers.

The model number is 665-22140 and the serial number is 255 184-490.

Any help?

Will try to upload a picture.

Just opened this account so no luck on posting a picture. Can email them if someone would like to take a look.

The battery boxes and the throddle controls give it away. It is a 1655 with a 283 Waukesha diesel engine.

that's definitely a 1655 with the single fender lights and no oil cooler. Also 1855 had rear dual hubs I think. And the model number prefix (665) is the same as mine.(1655)

Brett, I've changed your new account so you can post pictures and
links.

Thanks,
Chris

Not looking at this machine right now, silly question. The Preheat button is that the warming the coil for the diesel. Do the gas machines have a preheat? any reason for them. I need to order a manual.

(quoted from post at 18:44:18 10/07/10) That is 1655 I just looked at it last week at Hennessey Implement.Scott

Scott anything you can tell me about it. Just looking for a tractor to brush hog and cut wood. Any issues your aware of? Is it a diesel?
