What kind of oil should/can I use in my 1949 oliver 88 hyrdaulics?

Oliver's aren't too particular about hydraulic oil. Run whatever you have around for your other tractors, or whatever you find cheap. Their hydraulics are separate from everything else and will pump just about anything.

When people ask me I recommend a good universal hydraulic oil. Whatever you are using in all your other tractors. The old recommendation years ago was 10W-30 with the Oliver additive. I don't think it is even available anymore.

Don is also right on the money with his opinion.
