Oliver 88 questions

I have just a few questions. To start with what could cause an Oliver 88 to have low oil pressure? I have checked the gauge and its not that. I have heard something about a restrictor washer, and or relife valve...?? And my next question is will a PTO assembly and housing out of a 77 fit in a 88?

I do have a low pressure gauge, and it still reads low. Normal oil pressure should be 10-15 pounds (i believe) but it doesnt even read that.

Does the 88 have an aluminum oil filter base? If it does no doubt the restrictor disk in the stem is missing. They used to have a repair kit for that. On the PTO what is your defination of PTO assembly? The long shaft is different for each model of tractor. Other than that the gear box , clutch, etc will interchange.

My 88 does not have an aluminum filter base, but is there supposed to be a tube that comes up the center of the base into the filter? If so mine is missing. And as for the PTO assembly I was referring to the clutches gears, etc. Thanks for the help.

Ok, so that's my issue then. How should I go about fixing the missing restrictor and tube situation? Can I get a new restrictor and tube? If so where? Can i make one?
