I have a 8n and took the tire off then tried to loosen the axle nut. Wrong wrong wrong. I had a heck of a time. I used my cutting torch and heated up the nut. I started to bend the 3/4 drive breaker bar. And was turning the tire on the other side with the breaker bar . Heated it some more and got it off with impact.

I got a snowmobile stuck on river bank and wanted to use the 8n to pull it up the hill. I was 17 at the time never asked my dad if I could use it. Anyway the axle nut came off and the tire went into the ditch (had fluid) the axle hit the gravel road. AND I GOT my butt beat. That was 48 years ago.

Chit happens I had two tractors like that back to back on both sides... After I got the axle nuts off Both were the worst I have ever ran into, then getting the hubs off was about as bad I wrecked a good expensive puller. I then pulled the axle with the bearing retainer and put them in a press. I heated and fudged with them a long time before BANG and they POPPED off...
