Hello I need help I have a Ford 600 that leaks the hydraulic fluid into the transmission then it comes out of the gear shift. I have been told it may be a seal or a hole in the line that runs through the transmission. I read that you can sleeve the line? Please help Thanks Roy in Texas

Wow! if the tube is in there without epoxy it can't possibly seal. If you have the tube out, you could clean everything really well, scuff up both tubes, then coat ID and OD with marine grade JB weld and put the tube back in.

See the current thread on the Ford forum for some info on this.

Both the bottom and top transmission shafts have seals at the back side that prevents the oils from mixing. My experiance has been that it is the seals.

It's according to how fast the oil gets into the transmission if it's the seals or the tube. Tube fast. Seals slow.

Thanks for the info I just took the manifold off and it was sleeved I was able to remove it with very little effort when I took it off I noticed that the sleeve end looked like it was to one side and it looked like that oil could blow through it. I going to replace it and hope that fix it next stop will be the seals.

Yep, its a common problem with the hundred series tractors. Take a look a the recent thread on the Ford forum. It might help you get started.

Your symptoms come up frequently - Sounds like you have a leak in the pressure tube that runs through the transmission. Water gets into the transmission and pits the outside of the pressure tube and eventually develops a pinhole leak. As the hydraulic pump runs, it pushes oil into the transmission, filling it up until it runs out some place. Usually through the input shaft into the bell housing, or out around the shifter as you are seeing.

Here is a link that describes replacing the tube
