Almost finished!
I fired it up just to check the open circuit voltage to make sure it was at 80V on the lowest current setting and about 60V on the 225A setting.
I loosely connected the AC-225 to the DC input and read the DC voltage down below after the bridge and choke.
Average DC read also read about 60V to 80V.

I got the AC-225 for the higher voltage level compared to the Craftsman with an open circuit voltage of only 45V.

I should get better results with the AC-225 when converting to DC.

The lincoln AC-225 does, I was just getting antsy to post something and I'll post the rest later.
