I want to add lube to my steering box as it's leaking around the arms. Can't find the fill hole. Can I fill it thru the bolt hole shown for an 8n on John Smith's site? If so, could I use the same bolt on the opposite side? (it would be easier to get to) Thx- Mike

If you have a 3 speed 2n then it is splash lubed from the trans. No lube in it. there are packings on the shaft that could be replaced.

My 2N has a grease zerk on the dust seal just under
the steering wheel to lube the upper thrust bearing.
All else is splash lubed with trans oil.

do you actually have a 2n, or a 8n with a 2n engine?

if really a 3spd 2n, then as said..a grease zerk up top, and the rest is splash lubed from blow.

post a pic if you aren't sure what ya got.
