2N brake installation

I am having trouble putting the brake shoes back in the brake drum. I have backed the adjustment off as far as it would go. Does the shoes and backing plate just drop in or is it a snugg fit? Any thoughts would be helpful. tracman

I had the same problem trying to get the brakes back in my drum. Turns out the adjuster was just gummed up an was not backed out all the way. I worked the adjuster back and forth with plenty of solvent and muscle and eventually it backed out enough to get the brakes back in the drum.

Thanks. I will keep working it a bit more and maybe loosen it up enough. I also found that there is a ridge on the brake drum and it is rusty. I will polish that up as well.
