3 Point Tractor Jack

I just saw on ebay an old 3 pt tractor jack. Aren't these fairly rare? Seems a decent price and has manual with it also. It was in Wisconsin. I emailed to see if seller could give me idea what shipping would be as I have never seen one and have no idea what they weight. Are these pretty well used on all 8N's? Mine is a 49. Looks also like one could be made if had one to measure off of. Just wanting to make sure it would work on mine before I get too deep. Also are they a big hassle to use. Thanks, Bob

Ford/Ferguson/Dearborn tractor jacks were once rather common for changing tread width but are little used anymore.

They routinely come up on ebay and in classified adds.

If you buy one be certain that it has both front and rear supports connected by a small chain.

Very easy to use and stable too. I use mine to do brake work and use it for a painting stand also.

Those jacks a near & servr many uses tractot wise , You lift the tractor to drain the oils , do maitnance, switch the tires/wheels around, also to widen the tractor wheels/tires for cultivating . Plus let's not forget they come in handy for installing tire chains . But , we must use safety measures whenever crawling under the the tractor while it's up . God bless

That's funny as the asking price is right in the middle at 47.50. Shipping might kill me though, so may hold out and look for one closer. Sure like to have one. Thanks, Bob

Check the archives. I've seen post with all the measurement here before. It can be made pretty simple. That was what I had planned to do. Then I found one close by. I paid $20 for mind just a few months ago. But they don't weight very much at all. But are bulky.
