3pt tow frame

Had time to put this A frame together from scraps I've had. Will use it to tow trailers.

It looks far enough out that you may want some weight on the front for anything but a very light trailer.

Nice shop, Like the Flag!
I have used a hitch like that for years. Have pulled some very heavy loads, that close your tractor will handle a lot of weight. My 9 will handle almost 1,000 pounds on a homemade set of forks, and that is centered a good foot past the rear wheels. No front weights.
lots of luck joe

Nice job.
I enjoy making things like that myself and like seeing pics of the stuff others create.
I believe with the hitch that close to the lift arms you should be able to lift close to the max 900 lbs +/- the tractor is rated for.
Thanks.

I bought one of these a few years ago. Good little thing to have. Mine has the ball on the top too to move gooseneck trailers around. I thought the Ford would be to little but it works fine. However I had to put check chains on it because the weight of a gooseneck will push the arms down

Is that a carved up old engine stand with a ball and hitch pins added? It got me thinking, as I have 7 engine stands, and stands come cheap from Costco etc., could save a lot of fab work
