Need #1: Occasional short hauls with my 9N
Need #2: Moving 6 or fewer pigs at a time 4 or 5 times a year for 4-H

What do you think? Will I need to purchase two trailers or is there one that will do it all?

Jim..... .general consensis of opinions for hauling N-Tractors was a double axle 16'er. Allowed tractor weight to center on axle and yet had room for brush-hog too.

Depending upon size of pigs, I have hauled a single butcher hog in large dog crate with no problem. I've seen many 4H plans for animal transport crates. You could strap them on your flatbed. I don't think I'd want a bunch of lard balls rolling around in a 16' horse/stock trailer. Most horse/stock trailers don't have much in the way of ventilation down low like hogs are. Sun and cold rain can be a problem hauling hogs, but so can steanky air.

Just another opinion..... ..Dell

I have been using a 3 horse slant trailer to haul my 8n. It is a tight fit, but seems to work ok. I just remove the dividers and drive it up.

I welded pockets around the perimeter of my 23' flatbed equipment trailer and built removable stake sides for it. Build the sides any way you want them and you can haul anything you want. Remove the sides and you are back to a flatbed. Just build the sections small enough that you can handle them. Look at the sides on a stake bed truck. Good luck, ray

My wife's uncle was unhappy with an atv trailer he bought so he took it back, designed one that did what he wanted, gave the dealer the plans and they made it for him. Maybe you should sit down and make some sketches of your dream trailer. I'll bet someone could make it for you. Then copyright the plans and sell them.
