I have just inherited one of the tractors we used to farm with when I was a young boy. The tractor is still in good shape and was used to plant with up until about a year ago. My mother recently died and I was given the tractor. We always referred to it as the 8N or the small tractor. I would really like to find out what it is. It has an emblem on the front that says Golden Jubilee 1953 and the serial number is on the left side near the starter stamped horizontally. There is a flat space above the serial number but no numbers are on the flat space. (it seemed to me that the serial number should have been on the flat space, not below it) The serial number seems to be NAA 69375. The middle letter is not clear and one of the numbers is not that clear.

Is this an 8N tractor or a Ford Jubilee or What?

Bobby, you have a 53 Ford Jubilee. They are great little tractors. Take a look at the link below. I just finished renovating mine in Nov.

Bobby,
Your tractor is not an 8N although many people refer to them as that. The NAA(53-54) replaced the 8N and then they were referred to as the 600 series tractors. Many people simply refer to ALL red/grey tractors as "8N". I have an NAA and love it. It solved one of the weaknesses(my opinion only) of the lift system by using the engine as the drive for the pump where as the 8N uses the PTO shaft to drive the hydraulic pump. This is only a slight problem when you have the mower on the tractor and it is in the barn as you have to engage the PTO to lift the mower or implement. Great tractors though. Many still around almost 50 yrs after production. And we all know what kind of abuse these things have seen.
