2N stuck steering up date

We had a good thanksgiving dinner after church put on by the youth for the seniors so I was late getting back but by three I was headed to fetch the 2N I took the front weight of and jacked it up and still could not break it loss so I popped the tie rods off and got the wheels strait. Messing with the steering it seems like it may be the left side arm that is binding. After some struggle I got it on the trailer and the super C brought it home. I was running out of day light so it is still on the trailer.
I guess the hood, gas tank , dash, battery tray all have to come off to even start?

Larry - I would say looking at the left side steering sector and how far back it is that it did jump off the steering shaft gear. I bet you find a lot of wear in the steering components once you get in there. My 2N sectors and shaft wear realy worn and I had to replace them with a good used set. They are available new but are pricy, best of luck to you. Keith

I agree the steering sector is way aft. And there is slop in the steering box but it locked way before it got that far. While playing with it to try and get it loose I got it that far over. I hope to get it in the shop today and the harrow back away from the road. But I may not get to start on it for a couple days I need to finish this tile in the computer room and get the house back together before Thanksgiving. Thanks for the ideas and help. I will post back when I get started in to it
Have a good N week Larry
