47 2N 12v wire diagram

My N had troubles earlier with alt, bat, dist and coil. All of which have been resolved. Turns out the alt was defective and threw out too much juice and caused the other items to fail. Well anyhow, when I was in the middle of all those issue"s I searched high and low for a wiring diagram that matched or came close to what I have. I haven"t seen it yet. And yes I looked here and justN"s, hobo"s and Smith"s and other places. So I thought I"d use what little artistic ability I"ve got to show what I have to see what I can learn from you all about it.
Disclaimer: The tractor was converted by a PO and when I got it it did not have a Ballast resister or terminal block. Also I left the lights out of this drawing. Since the bulbs I put in are 12v they can be wired up a couple of different ways.

Right now the tractor has setup "A" on it. But I"m wondering if setup "B" would be better. Thanks for any input.

The only difference I see in the 2 diagrams is the addition of the ballast resistor in B, is that correct?

Many of the guys here will be able to explain that better to you than I.

Resistance is resistance.

The ballast resistor has a kind of variable resistance, that is nearly none at switch on, and more as it heats up.

You are concerned about having enough to protect your coil while running.

All coils are not created equal.

You will have to be able to figgure yer restance, and ampage thru the circuit.

Right now, I think the resistance of the resistor in A is unknown to us, as well as the resistance of what coil you have.

JMOR, and Bruce are really good at explaining this.

Now you may be starting to understand why I run a 6v, positive ground, Chevy alternator.

I understood the issues of making the jump to 12v.

You"re right I should"ve said that it is a 12v coil about 1 week old and that resistor is what on some diagrams is called a "converter" resistor. And you were also right the only difference in the diagrams is the Ballast resistor. Bruce, Dell, Soundguy, yourself and others have all had a say about the Ballast whether or when you should use it or when it isn"t necessary. I"ve seen the math and right now I can"t seem to wrap my head around it( I"m in the middle of moving). So I thought I"d ask the experts if a Ballast resistor would help, hurt, or just act like another "overload" protector.
Or could this be one of those try it and see what happens things?

I already like you, dayum, yer post sounds like me a lot of the time.
