2N front ratchet removal help

I had posted about needing some help with some engine noises from my 2N. After tinkering around, I have found the problem. THat's the good news. The bad news is that I'm not sure how to address correcting it. I will attempt to explain and perhaps someone would be gracious enough to offer suggestions.

The defective part is in the FO-4 repair manual on page 111. It is part #28 described as a ratchet. THe part is very loose and appears to be slightly bent. As the engine is running, it rattles around. There are teeth on this ratchet that apparently have gotten caught on the adjoining metal and have been chewed up a bit. That would account for the noises that I have been hearing. I would like to remove this but the book does not really show how to get to it. Since I'm somewhat of a novice (to put it mildly), I need to have some better directions. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Or...maybe I don't need to remove it? I don't like the noise though. Makes me think the pistons are going to jump out!

OK, if it's the part that Sean said it is...it'll look like this. It should
be torqued back down. You'll need a 1-5/16" socket and torque
wrench.

Oops..and THIS time, I'll actually ATTACH the pic!

Sean is right. Here is a pic. that shows the bolt better for you:

You will have to get the right size deepwell socket to get the bolt out. If it is bent you may have to get one size or more, bigger socket, or you might have to resort to using vicegrips, to remove it.
The teeth on the end of that "ratchet"/bolt are on there to accomodate a hand crank.
If as you say, the bolt is loose.....shouldn't be a problem. WE HOPE

Tractor gal......thats the "crown-head" armstrong (old fashioned hand crank'em) starter pulley attach bolt. It should NOT be loose. It takes a 1-5/16" socket to fit and is tightened to 150ft/lbs thru the radiator crank'em hole with long extension. Because it fit in a concave pulley, you can't gitt a crescent wrench on it.

While I don't doubt that it is loose, I doubt that it is bent. Most likely its yer sheetmetal pulley that is bent and wobblin' on the end of yer crankshaft. Enclose is a picture of the better 1-piece billet all metal pulley designed for frontend loader hydraulic pumps that will NOT warp or gitt bent. It is installed without the crownhead pulley bolt, uses a 5/8-18x1" bolt instead. .......Dell
