Had the whole day to myself, and had a very productive day. The carb. I
have been working on, is now on it's way back from the dead. :lol:
Fixed lots of stuff, in this carb., over the last few days. All that is left to do, is put it on Hermie, for testing, and a little more cosmetic cleaning, when tests are completed.
So far.....went from this:

I learn a little more every time I do one of these.
Thanks Jesse!!!

Heck NO!!!! This carb. was MISSIN' a LOT of parts, when I got it.
Lucky I had some spares.

(quoted from post at 22:02:30 02/27/09) Did you ever find a brand name on it?

Nope, narry a brand.!!! Did find some barely readable #'s on the inside of the float area cap, and a couple of letters on the bowl area, but no indication of the manufacturer!!! :?
Other than that.... I can only thing it may be like SouNdguy said...A possible knock off from TISCO????????? Outsorceing carb.????????

Hey Dan;
been missin' our email runs.!! Are ya back home now??? Hope ya had a good trip!!!
The carb. still needs to be cleaned up more on the outside, but didn't want to do that until I test it.
I ended up drill and tap the Idle and econo jets. The main was fine.
Lots of stripped out stuff on/in this carb. :shock:
The guy that attempted this overhaul, was good at messin' things up!!!
Happy to see you are posting again.

Matt;
I forgot to tell ya, I checked around Seeley Lake, and all I could find was a Half inch carrage head.
I'm going to take the wife for a doctor appointment Tuesday, and am going to check at the Missoula Nut and Fastener to get one. They SHOULD have them. If they do I'll pick one up and send it with the carb. The 1/2" head is big enough, but the square under the head is too small, and will just spin in the carrage bolt hole, as I'm sure you found out.
As for your 2N blowin' up....That won't happen...cause this carb. will Blow "Hermie" up first......with the carb on him!!!! :lol: :lol:
I'll let ya know Tuesday night if I get the bolt or not.
