We rented the movie "Cars" last night. I had heard about it some and saw some talk about it on TV but didn't really realize what it was all about.

Let me tell you if you haven't seen it and are a car buff or fan of cars from the sixties and seventies you got to see this movie. It is a Disney animated movie and a lot of Nascar name people are speaking the dialogue of some of the cars and trucks etc. Dale Earnhardt Jr, Richard Petty, Cale Yarbourgh and more that I can't remember off hand. Even though it is animated and looks to be mostly airbrushed animation it is a monument to the old days and cars. I watched it three times including twice this morning and about wore out the pause and fast forward functions on my DVD player. Just about all the classic Route 66 cars and places are represented in it.

My wife says I have lost my mind! What mind!?

You have got to see it if you love old iron.

Zane,

Next time you watch it pay attention to the mountains in scenery in the background. The mountain landscape is shaped like 40's vehicles with big round fenders and N style radiator caps. Some of the mountain ranges look like Caldilac El Dorado tail fins. There is cars stuff all over that movie. I love that movie.

BINGO!!!

I've collected just about all of the toy vehicles from the movie and my wife and I have them at the house so the grandsons can play with them when they are here.

My favorite is "Doc Hudson." My high school football coach had a Hudson just like it.

The combines name is Frank and Id say they turned up his pump to make him run as fast as he did.
