Finally got a little time to work on the blade guard for the cordwood saw this weekend. Previous owner had cut off a big chunk of it(apparently using a chainsaw). I had straightened up what was left of it when I restored the rest of the saw earlier this year. Here's a pic w/ a partial guard:

I still need to make up the last hinged section, but at least now I can lift it into transport position w/o fearing for my life!

Hey Jeff looks great,Been using these saws fer years and love em,nothing cuts faster.Last year I finally had to sharpen and set my blade last year.Used vice grips to set and a file to sharpen,took an hour and werks great.Love yer saw.

Thanks Dave....This past weekend I sharpened mine too. The set looked pretty good, so I left it alone. Cuts like a hot knife thru butter.

Take a look at a new pto shaft drive saws.They are guarded much better.The arbors have a cover on them also.Getting the blade sharpened properly will be a problem.
