Now that warmer weather is getting around here, gotta get in gear and repair/rebiuld my hyd pump on my '52 8n.i got the repair video thats going around out here, and watched it many times, so i feel more confident in diving into the job.Have a few questions though, the video suggested to replace the lift piston with a Jubilee one,,,good idea? my 3pt.will not lift itself, fluid level is OK,fluid is seen circulating thru the inspection opening, and figure a complete pump overhaul is probably the best way to go , since i will have the pump out anyway.plan on going with the complete overhaul kit that's out in the marketplace, and replace everything that's in the kit.Do i need anything else to complete this job as far as parts/gaskets? the video did not go into detail of adjustments to the pump, will i be OK on just replacing parts,or do i need to research somewhere for settings/adjustments? the 3pt. worked fine for the first 2 yrs. i had the tractor, and stopped working right this last fall.if i call for the arms to lift via the lever, and help the arms up they will stay, put i can force the arms down with not much effort(sounds like a complete overhaul might fix?)a cracked/frozen pump body is likely not a cause ,because the 8n has been in above freezing storage since i've had it.Bottom line here is: any help/hints you folks can offer to go along with rebuilding the pump ,other than the tip in the video? anything i need to know/research? sorry for the long story here, just want to get everything in order before i dive into this project,,,Thanks in advance!
