I have'nt even got my first N completed and seen a 53 Jubilee in a mans yard. Stopped and looked at it, it needs some help. He was on his way to work and wanted to talk to me later. We exchanged phone #'s. He called 10 days later wanted to know what I thought. I said I was interested but price was a concern. He said he advertized it once or twice for 1500 no takers. He said he would probably have to take 1000 or less, or just junk it out. It needs 3 tires, has no grill, seat is gone, hood & fenders bad off, engine runs good, no smoke, hydraulics still up after 8 months, may be stuck I don't know. Any suggestions? Anyway, Is this a sickness? What can I do about it?

If this tractor is close to KY and if you would like to buy this tractor and part it out I would be interested in the engine
IT may not be a sickness but it is fun....

Jim, for your own sake, don't pursue this any further! Tell me where it is and I will see to it that you never see it again as you pass by, so you will not be tempted!

Jim, I feel your pain, we all do. Next comes sleep loss and lack of focus on daily living. Go to bank, get 5 new-crisp 100 dollar bills go offer the man four of them. You should feel a lot better when he gives it to you for 5 of them bills.

The seller "blinked first" by calling you back. He may not be desperate, but he most certainly sees the tractor as a liability. He knows he can't get $1500, and is having trouble at $1000. Parting it out is time consuming for the seller. Spend some more time with the tractor, evaluating it more thoroughly. You can research this and other sites to find the cost to replace the damaged parts, so you know about what it will cost to fix 'er up to whatever level you want. I think you will appreciate it's bigger motor and live hydraulics. $500-$700 sounds like a steal, he may bite. LOL (:o)

You can always get more money. Tractors might be few and far between.

JUST AN OFFER TO BE A FRIEND. AS A FAVOR TO A FRIEND WHO COULD NOT STOP DRINKING, I DRANK ALL HIS BEER. I WILL GLADLY PURCHASE A JUBILEE THAT RUNS, AND THE HYDRAULICS HOLD, JUST TO STOP YOUR ADDICTION. DON'T SWEAT THE COSMETICS, JUST COVER YOUR BUTT ON THE MECHANICAL SIDE, AND IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, AT THAT PRICE YOU CAN ALWAYS SELL IT AT A PROFIT
GOOD LUCK. RON
