A 6ft FarmKing finishing mower is going up for auction locally and I wish to solicit comments good or bad about the quality, usability, durability or anything else that would sway my nuetral opinion of this product. Thanks in advance for your comments...

You might want to think about 6' vs 5' wide mowers. If you have many obstickles to mow around the 6' might be too wide. Then again, it might help you get in close to some places.

Most folks use 5' bushhogs but a finish mower could be different.

N - joy.

Cliff, I have been running a 5' FarmKing for 6 years now. It has been excellent and I have had ZERO repairs to do. I'm still using original belts, bearings, rubber, etc. I have replaced the blades once. The "updraft" from these mowers is phenomenal - does an excellent job of lifting and mowing cleanly the tire tracks.

My only complaint has been that the grease nipple for the center blade bearing is located under the PTO shaft U-joint right at the gearbox. I have to remove the shaft to grease that bearing. Farm King tells me that they have rectified that problem on newer models.

Here in Manitoba (where the Farm King's factory actually is) these mowers sell for about $2000 (Canadian$) new.
