I live in NY, upstate. Recently, the days are getting short, and the weather is cool. The sky has become clear, and blue. Almost 'September Weather'. Is it just me, or do any of you feel a little weird when it's a screaming blue sky morning, in the late summer, and it reminds you what it was like just about a year ago? That beautiful, sunny day when everything went so terribly wrong? The weather, that blue sky, makes me remember, something I could never forget. God Bless the USA.

I was just thinking yesterday here in central Ontario the sky was exactly like that fateful day. You have our weather today so it isn't just you. I had just got back from a weeks vacation that Tuesday and I still recall the total disbelief I felt that day watching the horror unfold. By Wednesday evening I was so upset at seeing those images I spent that night on the tractor Bushoging. It's funny how these old machines are like therapy in a strange way. The other thing is, these machines were meant for building not destroying. Something those sick minds will never understand. StuK

Larry; I also live in upstate New York (Saratoga County) and many times I have sat and watched the vapor trails of jets headed from Boston on their westward cross country treks. I also spend several days a week working in NYC. On the evening of Sept. 7th, I stopped at the base of the World Trade Center, and stared up at it for a moment before going in. I was always amazed by the sheer size of it. The next day, I was back in Saratoga, enjoying the weather. I returned to NYC on the evening of Sept. 10th, and went to work as usual the next morning, the 11th. As I was one of the tens of thousands who walked for miles to get away, I wished that I hadn't left home the day before. Then I saw on the news the radar track of Flight 11, which left Boston, and headed west before making its fateful turn south towards its final destination. It made the turn in the airspace roughly over where my peaceful farm was, several thousand feet below.
You can not run and hide, you can not ignore evil. Evil can, and will travel everywhere. Evil must be faced head on, by everyone, everywhere. No one should ever assume that what happens in NY or DC or anywhere else has no impact on them. We must all do our part, large or small, to insure that our cherished way of life remains intact. We owe it to our ancestors, ourselves, and our children. Never forget.

My grandmother used to tell a story about taking a bus trip through the Austrian side of the Alps. She sat close to the front of the bus and was able to see the driver as he strugled to negotiate the narrow twisting passages. Once the bus was out of the mountains and on a more easy to travel road, she said to the driver, "well at least now you can relax." The bus driver responded with, "no I can't. The devil never sleeps."

September 11, 2001 was a tragedy not only because of what happened that day, but because of what happened before. We let our guard down and believed that with the cold war over we had no enemy to fear. We elected a president to two terms in office who neglected our foreign policies and allowed corporations to exploit spending power with poor accounting practices and regulations. We got fat and lazy.

God bless everyone who paid the ultimate price on, or because of the attacks on September 11, 2001. And let us all work each day to ensure that they did not die in vain.

it puts things in perspective My stupid question about which tire size to choose is nothing. I cried that day for all of the little children who lost their Dad and Moms forever. I am so very sorry and sad for a little boy who lost his hero or a little girl who lost her mommy and best friend. money is replaceable and it comes and it goes but love of a little boy for his dad who is is hero and wrestles with in the morning and plays trucks with him at night and the big guy he looked upto is now gone and he wont say daddy I love you and I want to be just like you when I grow up. thats a void bigger and deaper than the grand canyon or the world trade towers and I dont know why any human being can take a puppy dog that wants to play and test poison gas on it and watch it run around in fear and confusion and die a horroble death. the devil lives among us and good must win. I say we send undercover agents into the camps and find the leaders, offer them a cigarette or take a picture with a fake camera with a bullit in it and blow them up or their brains out one at a time or test their poison gas on them.
