Lift stopped working

Yesterday I was moving some dirt around with my box blade and the lift suddenly stopped lifting. I took a 10 minute break and restarted the tractor. The lift started working again...for 10 minutes...then it quit. The PTO is turning and the oil level is full. Where should I start?

Thanks,
Dennis

I'm assuming that until the problem manifests, you have full range of up-and-down motion. If not, you may simply need to adjust your quadrants.

Since your hyds don't appear to be "bleeding down", I would say your hyd relief valve is popping off prematurely. If you continue having the problem, replace the valve before looking elsewhere.

If not relief valve, the intake valve on your hyd pump is not opening properly which will necessitate pulling the pump and rebuilding it.

Got home, started up tractor, no lift. Removed box blade, moved tractor to driveway. Lift started working. Backed up to my Burban and it almost picked the rear wheels off the ground. Pulled off side cover to inspect inside. With a load on the lift, oil was pouring from PTO shaft coupling. Rev engine and some oil was spitting around. I moved the lever down and the arms stayed up. I got a hammer and with the handle I had to reach inside and move the arm manually. It was stuck. I guess I need to pull the pump and clean it well.
