I have 2 Jubilees, one with a 12 speed sherman transmission and the other with optional live power. I would like to take the sherman transmission and put it in the tractor with the live power. Anybody know if it can be done and if so by just exchanging parts? Will I need another shaft? or is it a fairly simple one for one switch? Anybody have one with both in?

Hi JimmyJack,

What you are proposing would allow a Sherman equipped tractor to operate with lower drive gears, but without a corresponding reduction in PTO speed. While that would be a great feature to have, it unfortunately cannot be done. The live power option utilizes a coaxial(one shaft inside another) shaft arrangement which has a shaft for the PTO and another to drive the tractor.(Each is controlled by its own separate clutch.) As you might guess, both of these shafts pass through the area occupied by the Sherman. Unfortunately the Sherman has no provision to accommodate the live power PTO shaft. For this reason, Ford tractors through the hundred series(and possibly later?) are not a good choice for use with PTO powered tillers and snow blowers. Good luck...Al English

If they are not a good choice for the PTO powered tillers and snow blowers would they still be a good choice for the PTO driven peanut crushing "Peanut butter" machines ????? ??

Rather than insulting the participants of this forum and trying to convince us you’re an alcoholic moron, maybe it would be better to treated EVERYONE the way YOU’D like to be treated. Having grown up with an alcoholic father I could relate plenty of stories on the down side of the “look at me I’m drinking too much beer” role you like to portray. If you drink as much as you you’d like us to think you do, you are doing it at the expense of yourself and everyone around you. Having lost both of your parents in the recent past, you must realize how important each day really is. That being the case, I hope you'll give some thought to how you are looked upon by your family, this forum, and the rest of the world...Al English

You have a good day Al and may the peanut butter be with you !

I GUARANTEE you whatever mental picture you have of me is wrong. You have no idea who I really am. If I showed up at your door and identified myself, your first thought would be “Oh Sh**”. I suggest you be more careful about antagonizing people on the internet. Your next target might not be as understanding as I am. Although I think you are harmless, it is never wise to underestimate ones enemies. That being the case I went to the effort and expense of finding out all about dave#1 and Tyler. Hopefully the time and money I spent putting together my scrapbook on you two was wasted. But just in case I’m wrong, I(and several of my friends) know who you are and what you look like, where you are and how to get there, where you work, what you drive, etc., etc., etc. If you have any thoughts of doing something foolish, please re-consider.

Well Al This is now getting out of hand ! Sir, I do not hate you,I may dislike you, but don't hate you. I don't know anymore about you than what I've read here on the YT board, but it seems from your reply that you have spent time and money investigating me and Tyman (Which I don't have a clue what Tyman has to do with any of this) And for you to say-"If you have any thoughts of doing something foolish, please re-consider.", This to me is just plain "paranoid" on your part, I never have or never would even think of looking you up and please do not consider showing up at my door,I don't want you near me or my family, I want nothing to do with you sir.

Just to avoid any misunderstanding, nothing I said is, or was intended as, a threat. I simply want both you to know where we stand. I have no interest or desire for things, “getting out of hand”. I would simply like to visit this board with no more of your insults, threats, or innuendoes. There is no good reason why(regardless of how you feel about me) we shouldn’t be able to do that. Short of offering additional or differing responses to the information posted here, I see no need for any direct information between us. As I said previously, “maybe it would be better to treat EVERYONE the way YOU’D like to be treated”.....

...I can't believe this! I quote YOU Al, "visit this board with no more of your insults, threats, or innuendoes" and I gotta wonder what you are smoking.
Sure, you might consider what Dave said an insult but that must be due some insecurity of yours. The only threats and inuendoes were contained in your post. As long as I've been reading this forum, fun and constructive insults have been an integral part of the board. If you can't laugh a little you have a problem. Building a file on Dave and Tyler in case you need it sounds totally insane to me. You should see a shrink! For what it's worth, I think you have some interesting comments on a lot of topics, but you are way off the wall here.

>>Just to avoid any misunderstanding, nothing I said is, or was intended as, a threat.<<

So in your mind you don't consider this, in your own words, a threat?

>>I went to the effort and expense of finding out all about dave#1 and Tyler. Hopefully the time and money I spent putting together my scrapbook on you two was wasted. But just in case I’m wrong, I(and several of my friends) know who you are and what you look like, where you are and how to get there, where you work, what you drive, etc., etc., etc<<

Gee, to me when someone has spent time and money to find out where you live and where you work, he's going a bit overboard.

>>I would simply like to visit this board with no more of your insults, threats, or innuendoes<<

What did I say in this "Is is possible" thread that would make you say I was insulting, or threatening you? In fact, I didn't come along in this thread until you mentioned my name. What was I suppose to do? You just stuck my name in this to start something, didn't you? If you have something against dave#1, so be it. Don't include me in your reply.

>>I simply want both you to know where we stand.<<

Who is "we" in this sentence. You and your hit men?

Tyman

they are both 1953 Jubulees and I am as confused as before. Bert, you are right, the optional live power is on the back side, the hydraulic clutch type.
