Pulling a finish mower around with ag tires would turn a decent lawn into mushy ruts. Yes the 8N is truly an engineering marvel in its simplicity of design, however, it does only have so much thrust in a modern farming situation. Certainly it handles a dearborn 2-bottom plow quite well even with the silly turf tires. And it will no doubt handle a 5" or 6" cultivator equally well I am sure. And it does fabulously with a post-hole digger too.

But for real mite and agility and versatility...you gotta defer to my own Ford diesel 2120 4x4 4 speed/3 ranges and differential loc. It has the New Holland loader and I am able to halt the PTO spin independently from the implement lift.....something the 8N can not do...which is a major fault of the antique 8N. BTW, my 2120 also has turf tires.

I truly enjoy the 8N for what it is, even with the turf tires.
