Hi all, trying to get my 47 2N ready for winter, had it a while but never serviced air cleaner except change oil. Trying to get the filter media out for clean or replacement. I have the through the hood model, which I believe was a dealer option. I cannot figure out how to get the bottom screen off to access the media. I ve looked everywhere for pictures or videos, but none are exactly what I have. I really don’t want to go after it with an hammer or pipe wrench until I know how it comes apart. I’ve heard of just dousing it with solvent as it sits, but I would really like to see how dirty it is. Any help from the wise men here would be greatly appreciated.
John

Take it off and soak/slosh it around in a bucket of diesel fuel. Most all of the crap will rinse out

After more STA, I found a thread with pics that shows my situation, seems like clean it in place, or beat it out and back in again. I ll give it a try, seems like a whole replacement is not that expensive.
