Crank pulley bolt

Doug 13 , I would rather have the crank bolt than a regular bolt.
So you can use a crank to turn the engine over for tune up work such as distributor work or setting valve lash.

I have used my crank for starting my 9n several times when my battery was discharged. It works well. I used
the same crank handle that came on my '48 Dodge truck.

Good afternoon, lha: I have a 9N, and I also have a 1945 Dodge 1/2 ton truck with a crank. Maybe the crank will work in the 9N? Interesting thought.....

Actually, MANY cranks were interchangeable in the old days, it would be more of an ''oddball event'' to find one that WOULDN'T fit vs. one that WOULD fit, LOL!

I got rid of my old Dodge when someone wanted it more than I did,but somehow kept the crank. Several days,I drove to work when it was dark in the morning, left the lights on,then to the delight of co-workers,cranked it by hand and drove home. Some teased me about the old relic, but were glad when I pulled them out of the mud after a day of rain. I live in W.Tn as well, outside of Jackson about 10 miles.

Yes, good idea using a crank bolt for maintenance. I think I can buy it and a crank handle.
