1950 8N - Loose/Sloppy Governor Arm

The Ford 8n I am working on to get painted is torn down to the chassis, masked off in certain areas with duct tape, and should be getting sand blasted today. While masking, I noticed that the cast arm on the governor is very loose and sloppy. Does that bolt that is attached to it clamp it down tighter, or is there wear in there that I will need to fix ? Please advise me on what I need to do (if anything).

Thank you. Sounds like it isn't that bad of a thing to fix or not to fix since it is the one that is controlled by the hand lever. I might try to use a piece of an aluminum can and see how that does.

Some people on this board warn against sand blasting. Sand can get into the tiniest places that you don't want it.

You're right. I had never done one that way and wanted to try it.
