HiYa Kirk-

Maybe 10-20 years ago I would have an interest but now, only if it was cheap, shipping included. Email me with price and location. The plastic seat was an option, as p/n 9N-400-B, for the first year - 1939-1940. Lack of sales made it obsolete after '41. Henry Ford had a plastic lab with George Washington Carver heading up experiments to develop a plastic to make parts with. Carver found the soybean to be the most suitable for the polymer base. Ford had a factory built, had fields all over the country growing soybeans, and had a car, parts, and even some food made from soybeans. FWIW & FYI: Did you know it was Henry Ford who developed the dessert topping Presto-Whip? Yep, made from soybeans. Still made today, not by FORD, but ingredients are all artificial and no longer soybean based.

No ventilation holes? No wonder it failed. Nothing worse than crack-sweat mixed with soybean oil, although I guess it was a novel way to absorb your oxidized lipids!
