'50 8N M-S TSX241B Carb - No Main Jet??

I have the above carburetor on my 8n that's struggling to gain speed. She idles fine at 400rpm, but struggles whenever I increase the accelerator and will not go over 700 at all. While I've now got the carb soaking in carb cleaner, I was watching videos in the internet, and notices that a "Main jet" was removed after the "Main nozzle" was removed. I removed the "Main nozzle", but I SEE NO SUCH MAIN JET!?!?! (At least as far as I can tell) My shop manual shows this "main jet" as Fig. FO51 #18. My carb has the small drain plug next to the large drain plug. When the "main nozzle" and small drain plug is removed, I can see clear through the carb body and see no brass jet. One article on the internet read that not all M-S carbs had a main jet which is the motivation behind this post. I don't recall ever removing one, and my 8n has run fine in the past. Is my carb getting a Sunday bath just for grins, and my problem is a missing main jet?

If it has the threads in it for a main jet,
I would buy a kit and put it in and give it a test run.

I didn't see any threads other than for the main nozzle. I'll have closer look after she gets out of the bath and dried off.

My tractor was missing a main jet for years and ran just fine. It now has a main jet and still runs just fine.
