Hat Rim Bolts

I have been trying to remove the bolts from the rim. I soaked them with PB Blaster for two days, have tried the
air impact gun and also a large maul and have only been able to remove one of them. Is there anything else I can
try before I remove the tire and tube and use the torch on them. Any help appreciated.

Hot wrench red, ice cold water quench, repeat, third time allow to naturally cool. Should be finger tight.
PB Blaster is nice, Kroil is better.
Seafoam Deep Creep is another option.
My personal favorite on the cheaper side is CRC Marine Engine Stor. That can be sprayed (STUPIDLY) on molten red metal and does not become an instant torch. It just smokes real good while it all burns off. Will not penetrate anything until the item cools off a bit.
If you want to experiment, the torch to warm it up and melt a candle into it.
Diesel and let it soak supposedly works.
The new kid on the block for a rust penetrating oil is called Superzilla I believe it has a better capillary action than Kroil but the jury is going to be out on that one until I get to the body mount bolts on my '94 F350 7.3 idiT with Allison.

Then again WD-40 with a BFH can be entertaining . . .

How about a big C-clamp with a deep well socket or section of pipe on the stationary end to push the bolt into? Slow, relentless pressure can do wonders!

Swing harder. Seriously - I had to beat the snot out of the last ones I did. They all came out but not without a battle.

Del Huebner ,With the nut screwed on flush rattle them side to side with a hammer or better a air chisel with a punch, soaking them with PB Blaster.Till they are loose ,then knock them out.Remove the nuts and knock them the rest of the way out.

Son-in-law stopped by and could see I was getting a little frustrated. I had only managed to get one bolt out.
He proceeded to try the things mentioned here and got one more out. The others were not budging. He keeps his torch in my garage and wanted to try that. I said OK but the tire and tube will have to be removed first. He said that it was OK to leave them and got the torch out. He was right he heated the bolts and with a lot of force from the maul and impact tool he got them out and the tire and tube were not affected. Thanks everyone again for your help .here is a picture of the bolts.

he original bolts are fine thread, can they be replaced with coarse thread bolts? If not what size are they and who has them?

The originals were 5/8-18 X 2.82 so I imagine they could be replaced by 3 coarse thread carriage bolts. I found
the originals and used them.

Fine threads are more secure under the vibration and side stress conditions.
