Hey everyone,
as you all may remember I posted a question about needing a diode on my tractor since it would not shut down when the key was turned. I quickly discovered that I do not need one for my one wire alternator. after a 45 minute phone call with a mechanic friend and lots of testing of various posts and wires, we found that the junction block was in fact the wrong part and was passing power through itself and not allowing the ignition switch to cut power to the coil. moral of the story? only use factory parts(or just hook the wires straight together ). thanks for all the replies!
