Misplaced Double Bubble???

(quoted from post at 04:56:36 05/31/22) It's your money, but an 8N sure doesn't need premium...

Someplaces that's all the non-E10 there is.

I don't use E10 in any of my machines unless I'm going to be burning it all up. Sick of cleaning E10 snot out of fuel systems/carbs.

Roger that. I get to have alcohol in everything by me... There are a few stations around that specifically sell straight gas, but it's a pain to find, and usually more than premium.

I really haven't had significant issue with the ethanol. The 8N gets plenty of time to burn it all off, so no issue there, but the other toys haven't had any issues apart from the generators.

I've had problems with equipment that never had carb issues for many years until E10 came around. Had to take the carbs apart to clean out snot-like gunk. Troy Built tiller and Ford 145 lawn tractor, push mower, from the early 1970s. If I run E10 and don't drain the tank/carb over the winter there will be problems in the spring.

2-strokes are worse as if the gas picks up enough water a large amount will phase separate with the alcohol. That can still sort of burn but it don't have any mix oil in it. The moisture also seems to cause some corrosion of aluminum parts.

My 9N runs fine on the cheap E10 as long as it's fresh. But I'll run it nearly dry if it's going to sit and refill with pure gas.
