2 N 5 hole hub

I read a post from 2004 by Bruce and Dell and am looking for a 9N 1104-A3 5 (five) hole
hub. According to them this 5-hole hub was on a 2N.
My Ford MPC does not show it as 2N part.
Thanks, Tom/Idaho

If you Bing for that part number (9N 1104-A3), the first link is to a post about the history of the part on that other site.

9n1104-A3 hub bolt assembly, (front wheel) 11.25 bolt hole diameter, 39-47. Page 32 Ford MPC. I have 8n1104 but no 9n1104's.

Yeah, I read that.
I think I need to rephrase my question.
My 51 8N is somewhat of a 'mutt'. I am looking for a 5 (five) hole Ford hub that is the same size as a
6 (six) hole 8N hub.
Tom/Idaho

Ok, you got me curious. You have a 51 8n with a 9/2n hubs or do you have a 9/2n with a 8n motor? I have to much time on my hands sometimes..

That 6 lug hub takes any 5 lug implement wheel.
The 5 lug should be easy enough to fine in ant parts yards that have older tractors, That hub fits any tractor from the first 39 model thru the 47 model but the 16 wheel to fit that 5 lug is hard to find. Do you have the wheel or are you wanting to put the 19 wheel on? The Ford car and light truck hub from the 1928 Model A up to 1940 fits that tractor spindal. My 1944 2N that Dad bought new in 1946 had the 19 wheel but Dad bought 18 wheels in 1946? to replace the hard to handle 19 tires. The 41 9N that I have has hubs and rims from a 35 40-41 car on with the 16 car rims.

Do you have the wheel

Yes, I have the wheels. The hub on left is okay, but the one on the right is junk.

Tom/Idaho

What made it be Junk? Broken or what? Would you be interested in having one shipped from Ohio. I know within the last 2 years Skillings at North Hampton had several tractors with those hubs. I was hoping to get enough money to get down and get a generator for a 2N but not yet the money for that. I could drive right to the place but it is around 50 mile from me. If I can find the phone number if you are interested I will send it to you.

This might be what Tom/Idaho is looking for. Some years the drum was part of the hub if I remember correctly but the hub and bearings fit.

Duner, that's looks like what I am after. Site says they are out of stock with no idea when it will be back in stock.
Kinda pricy...Almost as much as I paid for the tractor.

51 motor & 4 speed. Rest is unknown.
Left front has what appears to be right (in this case) 5-hole hub & spindle.
Right front. Have no idea what it came from. Part of it has been cut down and the rim has to be turned around to halfway fit. I'm thinking the 5-hole hub should fit this spindle.
Right rear has correct nut & retainer, however the left one has a smaller axle thread and OEM nut is too big. I torched the smaller one off to replace it.
A person in Missouri is checking his N parts pile.

Leroy, I have someone in Missouri checking his N pile. I looked at Skillings web site and may see if they have one.
Thanks for your assistance, Tom/Idaho

Tom, why not put the right hub on it? Looks as if it is an 8n tractor so put 8n hubs on the front and then you can run most any 6-lug wheel.

Tom/Idaho, I think what you removed is front hub from 1932-33-34 Ford with brake drum cut off. Car hub from 28 thru 48 should fit, Trucks thru 47. 1940 stye is nice as drum is separate. 1936 thru 1939 have different bolt circle diameter tho they would fit if you have the matching rims.

I found the information. It is Skillings Tractor LLC At North Hampton 43349, Bussiness phone 937-964-1486
Home phone Have 2 numbers wrote down for that 937-964-1629 and 937-964-8914. He has a little of everything, not just tractors. He did tell me he was thinking about closing the bussiness in a few years as one man operation and getting about retirement age. North Hampton is located on Ohio 41 about 4 miles east of Ohio 235. He is located in center of town on north side of highway and can be seen from 41. I don't have road name here now.. Mostly older items.

Tom, there is no such 2N-1104 prefixed part number because it didn't exist. Part number prefixes were numbered for the first module it was used on. If a major design wasn't made, it retained the same part number. Note the 9N-1104 and the 8N-1104. Different designs but still the front wheel hub. Basic part numbers were used on all FORD modules. What distinguished them is the prefix code. Look in your MPC's and you'll see the '46 2N MPC has many 9N prefixed parts. Heck, there are a few Hundred Series MPC's with 9N prefixed parts that were used. You know that all 9N & 2N models were basically the same, right? ALL 9N & 2N's used the 9N-1104 front wheel hub - a 5 Bolt Hole Pattern with a 11.25 bolt radius. A letter suffix designates the first part module used on. A number suffix only designates a different supplier used. Means nothing today. I looked in my usual suppler catalogs and found no 9N-1104 front hub, new or used, so you will have to go to ebay and look there for a used one or take a trip to your local boneyard and see if you can find one there or if owner will part one out. The picture shown is not a 9N hub as mentioned. FWIW: STEINER TRACTOR has an 8N-1104 front hub new but no 9N.

I appreciate all the replies.
Any idea why the right axle nut and retainer are OEM while the left axle thread is 1 and OEM replacement nut
is too big. See above picture. Obviously, the left axle is a replacement, but from what. If I knew I might be able to get the right axle nut and retainer.
Thanks again,
Tom/Idaho
