Anyone know where to get parts for a double action control valve. Would also consider a complete used valve.

Thank you for any help,

Ted

What parts do you need, the spools and body are usually considered a "matched set" and not available separately even when "new".

Do you need seals or springs? Or?

Need centering springs and valve spool seals. Spool seal appears to be a drive in lip thpe seal. Do not have it apart.

You can buy a new valve for less than $100.

If you remove the seals you may be able to match them up at a seal supplier. As for the springs that will be a crap shoot. I tried a couple numbers from the parts book I posted for you and got no hits (see your post on the MF forum). I believe a new valve is your best option. Given the vintage of these valves, a used valve may just get you a second valve with problems.

TOH, if his valve is like the one I am familiar with (pictured below) it is "purpose built" and fits nicely against the angled face of the loader mount that also serves as the hydraulic reservoir.

Return oil flows out of the valve at the mounting area and returns to the reservoir with no external connections/lines.

IF the O.P. can find lip seals for the spools (I'm pretty sure there's a thread on this in the archives somewhere with part numbers) and find generic replacements for the spool centering springs the end result will be nicer than trying to adapt a modern, generic, valve.

The way the spool centering springs work there's a little leeway in replacing them with generic compression springs.

Thank you everyone for all the replies. wore out the valve you picture is like mine. I have located the spool seals. As you say I
think I can use a generic spring and make it work. The lift spool spring must be weak or broken Have to help center it. Spool is
free.

I know you said you found the seals but ill jump in with this. Cr7440 is what I used. Can't remember if thats a single or double lip seal though. Mine may be a little different than yours. I have a davis 102a

Ahh yes - I have seen them before. They are a PITA design. I'd still replace it with a new one and put a cover plate and return fitting on the tank.

Where did you find that exploded picture of the valve?
Do you have a manual? My loader has that exact valve.
Thank you,
Tom/Idaho
