This is a pix of one of my N's I sold 6/7 years ago, 2001 I painted it Vermillion Red. I had issues with the lift so built up another cover for it and painted it IH 2150 Rouge Red a year later. Vermillion Red has turned into a pumpkin the lift cover still hold its shade of red. It always been kept under a shed. Vermillion Red shucks it does not belong on anything...

The bud I sold it to has moved on to bigger and better he washed it and has it for sale.

We have a NAA that we are thinking about
painting, we have seriously considered
using IH red. Just a better, more
durable color. Still debating on the
gray. I think in needs the cream or
greenish gray...... thoughts?

Yes, most all of the paints labeled as FORD TRACTOR RED are too orangey. Some may appear OK when in your shop but after they dry and/or get exposed to the outside
elements begin to fade and take on an orangey shade. Some brands are just plain junk like the Magic sheet. The closest shade to the original FORD VERMILLION (RED) is
the TISCO IHC 110 RED. I was advised this by the late, great Harold Brock and Carl Davis. I also tried the stuff John Smith said was very good, the GM Centarri Red, had
it mixed per the GM spec at my local store, but it too looked too orangey to me when outside. I painted my 1948 8N in 2--03 witheth IHC RED and still retains the red
shade - no orange.

I have Farmalls old ones none have turned into a pumpkin. As a Farmall lubber 2150 red it will be... : )

Tim, your 8N looks like vermillion to me and I especially like the red starter and plated lug nuts.

Tim your 48 8N looks great and paint color is perfect in my book. I'm curious if the posted picture was taken when it was painted or is that recent. I'm interested in how the color has held up. Did you add a hardener, was it sprayed or brushed on or? I'm getting close to painting my Jubilee and might use the Tisco IHC 110 if it's held up well. I'm leaning toward single stage urethane but that comes with it's own set of issues. Thanks
