I just did my first carb rebuild, it took awhile, I was
diligent. It started up right away, did a little adjusting
and seems to run fine, less smoke now when reving it up no
smoke when running. Just a couple of questions, it sputters at
idle, but under a slight load at idle run smooth, let's say
using the hydraulics to lift rear blade, I've tried no
success, high speed nice and smooth. 2nd the casting on the
carb, is there a flaw, the idle speed screw does not line up
with the casting pin, it still works, but just wondering

If you read your ESSENTIAL MANUALS under the CARB chapter, you make short/small adjustments 1/8-1/4 turn at a time THEN WAIT til engine speed catches up. The tractor needs to be under load so if no Proofeter, will have to apply brakes and guess.
