Starting problems

The 8n decided not to start. When I push the starter button it fires right up but, as soon as I let off the button it dies. I can keep it running if I manipulate the starter button. I have two new solenoids and have tried them both with no change.

What to do next?

Usually that is an indication that the wire that supplies current to the terminal block is connected to the starter side of the solenoid rather than the battery cable side of the starter solenoid.

Hmm, no wiring has been disconnected since it ran last.
But, I will go through the wiring and make sure everything is right.

You were correct, I did have the starter off recently and connected one wire to the wrong terminal on the solenoid.
Thanks for the help I really appreciate it.
