Thank you fer yer support

As the title says, Thanks
The journey with my first tractor has been interesting to say the least ( 47 8n ) bought a non running 52 8n with an FEL on it and got it transferred to the 47 works great but as expected the nimble steering is gone now but the benefits of the loader out
weigh the loss.
The 52 will be restored as time and funds permit and like I said the info available here is GREATLY appreciated !!

Good looking loader! Not a jungle jim... What brand is it?

Put car type smooth tread tires on the front and pump them up, helps with the steering. BTDT

I put 6x16 6 rib ag tires on it and it makes a huge difference..
As fer the brand I don't know the ID tag has only a couple
numbers on it and the original printing is long gone, I have looked at all the brands I could dig up but no luck with the ID so far.
Still need to put the wheel weights on the back that came with the 52 though it'll pick up a full bucket of dirt with out gettin too lite in the tail end I know I will need them eventually cuz I tend to push things a little...

Always had an implement on the back or
bucket full of dirt out back. Helps more
than wheel weights. Transfers weight from
front to rear.

Nice job Clifford. That is a good looking loader. My Ferguson TO-20 has a F.E.L. and a box scraper out back. It's never gotten lite in the rear.

Nice post Clifford.
The Fords look good.
Chevy looks nice too.
I still like that body style.
Forgot where you are from.
South or West for sure.
Rarely see one nice like that here - rusted
away a long time ago. I drove an 86 C20 for
about 10 years.

Thanks fellas; I've got a 5' box blade to hang on the back
fer a counterweight and some other toys to boot.
Still have some work to do on the bucket, the lower wear bar is shot and will be replaced, also gotta build a lift fork attachment
since I have a pair of fork lift forks off of the old warehouse lift in one of the pics that I am repurposing the steel from.
The old 85 chevy is my baby and is in a state of restoration new long block and a trans. rebuild a year or tree back front end rebuilt last summer new drive lines as well.
Interior and paint are on the list next as time and funds permit also, the santa job has been passed on to a younger elf ... :D

Cliff, hang your wheel weights on your
box blade, if you can. Then you can drop
them off when not needed.

On loader I had you could slide the pump
forward to disconnect when not needed to
save power and fuel. Blocked the loader
up so you could see over.

Not a bad idea, could fab a hangin assembly on top
of the box fer easy removal, the added weight would help the box rippers dig in better on crusty dirt when needed.........

My usual tow pig is a 99 f350 w a 7.3... it'll far and away out pull the tbi 454 in the gmc but being a ford, breaks down often.... I bought the gmc several years ago to haul the ford, my jeep, and my camper home and have done so a few times now...
