8n ford hydraulic lift

put a new cylinder and piston in top half of hydraulics still leaking down can race up motor a little lifts fine then goes back down until raced up a little ?? whats up
 
Take the right side inspection plate off and take a look inside with a light and see if it is leaking down from the top. Report back what you see. Besides the ram cylinder, it could be leaking from the pressure relief valve and a couple of other places. JMOR has a diagram showing all the places that can leak.

I really like this diagram. it will help me in my evaluation of my leak down issues after i shut the tractor off. I'll be going
through the back half of my tractor during the next pandemic. The front half was most appreciative of the covidirus last year.

Nope. The glass is full. Half is water and half is air.
